| Foxcroft Veterinary Services is a full
service veterinary clinic located in the rural Central Maine town of Dover-
Foxcroft. We offer surgery, medicine and preventative health checks
for companion, equine and food animals. We are a fully staffed hospital
with three full time and two part time Doctors. FVS also has a support
staff of four Technicians, two Animal Care Takers, two receptionists,
one administrator, one administrator assistant, a Book-keeper and a "Jack
of all Trades".
Our in house lab uses the latest in technology with IDEXX Chemistry Machines. This machine enables us to read electroyles as well as perform complete blood count and Thyroid tests. Lewis B. Denton established Lewis B. Denton Veterinarian at 59 River Street in Dover-Foxcroft at the end of World War II. The business was approximately 15 years old when Harold R. Sherman purchased the practice from Dr. Denton on April Fools day 1957 and flourished for the next 44 years. January 2, 2001 the practice was purchased by Dr. Ruksznis, Dr. Miles, and Dr. Kelly and became known as Foxcroft Veterinary Services to date. We now offer in-house Digital Radiography and portable Equiview Digital Radiography complemented by ultrasound and endoscopy. We have four completely stocked mobile units for equine and food animal services along with standard equipment. FVS also provides limited boarding services and is an area shelter.
