Tetanus Give first vaccination at 6 months of age. Give booster after 4-8 weeks. Then a yearly booster. All horses
Eastern/Western Encephalomyelitis Give first vaccination at 6 months of age. Give booster after 4-8 weeks. Then a yearly booster. All horses
Rabies Give first vaccination at 5-6 months of age. Give booster after 4-8 weeks. Then a yearly booster. All horses over 4 months of age
Potomac Horse Fever (PHF) Give first vaccination at 6 months of age. Booster is in 4 weeks. Most horses then receive on vaccination yearly. We recommend all show horses who travel out of state.
Rhinopneumonitis Give first vaccination at 8 months of age. Give booster after 4-8 weeks. Protection lasts approximately 60 days. Show horses
Strangles Intranasal vaccination 5-6 months of age. Booster in 4 weeks. Show horses
EPM Conditional vaccine. Not recommended at this time.
Influenza Give first vaccination after 8 months of age. Give booster after 3-6 weeks. May use intranasal vaccine or IM. Show horses
West Nile Virus Give first vaccination at 6 months of age. Give booster in 3-6 weeks. We recommend all horses who travel out of state. *WNV has never infected a horse in the State of Maine.
